Houghton le Spring and District Round Table are proud to have on board Thunder Community Trust as one of the designated charities for the 2011 Houghton Beer Festival.

Thunder Community Trust was set up in 2011 by Gateshead Thunder Rugby League Club to improve the lives of the young and people in general throughout the North East of England through sport (not just rugby league)

Last year the trust engaged with over 40,000 individuals from the provision of walking groups, zumba and other activities to those in Easington with cardiovascular conditions to the provision of professional rugby coaching in schools and community groups.

Thunder Community Trust hope to use the funds raised to provide more than ever before in Houghton and the surrounding area.
