Henderson Insurance of Silksworth Sunderland has signed up to Sponsor a Barrel of Beer at the forthcoming second annual Houghton-le-Spring Beer Festival.

Peter Adamson, commented, "Last year's Beer Festival was a fantastic event that raised a quite a bit of money for some great causes so how could we not get involved once again", "as a firm we believe that you should try to give back some of what you receive to the wider community so for that reason alone this event fits in with our charitable corporate ethos."

Peter went on to say "We would like to wish Houghton Round Table a successful and prosperous event in aid of the very worthy causes they support. Henderson Insurance is a premier and long established insurance broker in Sunderland who believes in the importance of supporting local events, causes and businesses alike. We therefore had no hesitation in helping out and providing sponsorship for a second successive year. May all the hard work produce the desired results, so let's all dig deep. Getting a little bit merry does have its merits after all."

Tickets are available for Friday 10/5 Night (£10) Saturday 11/5 afternoon (£5) and Saturday 11/5 Evening (£10).

Tickets ordered on-line can be paid for via paypal using any major credit or debit card or your paypal account. A 75p surcharge per on-line order (not per ticket) will be made to cover the cost of a Stamp, Paypal Charges and an Envelope. (Sorry about this but it is a charity event).

For those who prefer to pay cash we will be arranging for a local shop to dispense some tickets closer to the event ​you can not reserve tickets to be paid for by cash or cheque on-line. We have made this change following guest feedback from last year.

Within hours of emailing last years sponsors to let them know about the packages available for this years Beer Festival Hegartys Estate Agency had replied to confirm that they will once again be lending their support by sponsoring a barrel.

Hegartys has been the premier Houghton estate agency for a very long time so much so the name has become synonymous with the town and as ever the firm is keen to support all local charitable endeavours.
